Email Setup for iPhone or iPad iOS 8

Information needed to setup email on iPhone or iPad

-Full Email address

-Domain name


Step 1
Select the Settings on your iPhone and go to your Mail , Contacts , Calendars section.

Step 2
Select Add New account.

Step 3
Select Other as the option of account.

Step 4
Select Add Mail account.

Step 5
Fill in your name for organization purposes. Fill in your full email adress and you password. Description can be whatever you want it to say.

Fill out all the required information .

Incoming Mail Server

  • Host Name:
  • User Name:
  • Password: (this would be your password to log on)

Outgoing Mail Server

  • Host Name:
  • User Name:
  • Password: (same password again)

If you need to go back and edit the settings try port 50 for outgoing. As 25 is default and blocked by some ISP’s.

It will show the outgoing username and password as optional, however you will want to fill that information out for it to work properly. Its the same credentials as incoming mail server.

Step 6

Be sure to select that you want it to be a POP account.

POP3 – Post Office Protocol 3 is a protocol that has been around for decades. It’s the standard way that a mail service will receive email from a mail server. This option actually downloads the emails to the device

Step 7

If prompted with Warning below Select continue and follow the rest of the options to save the settings. If there is a prompt that comes up that won’t let you verify, click “Details” and then “Trust” on the top right.


You have now successfully set up your Apple Device for Email.
